Another Mother's Day Card

This one is for my Daughter-in-law.

This is a gate fold card. The bird is a stamp that was colored in using colored pencils. I then rubbed the pencil with orderless mineral spirits to blend the colors. The flower center is a "skittle" as the members of the cricut message board like to call them. They are actually a small acrylic bead that is flat on the back. Mostly they are used in jars for floral arrangements or around candles. I took the skittle and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. (I learned this technique on The Pink Scrapper Blog) It created an interesting texture.
